Custom Yacht projects- IRC Optimisation

Van Munster boats have recently completed two IRC optimisation projects .

  • The team custom built an Andy Dovell designed  Pre preg Carbon Fiber bowsprit for the Inglis 50 "Wild  Thing". Van Munster Boats was contracted by  Northside shipwrights to fabricate and install the light weight/ hi-tech bowsprit during their comprehensive refit to the beautiful racing yacht owned by Geoff Lavis.
  • Van Munster boats team have successfully completed extensive Carbon fiber mast modifications to the DK 42 owned by the Cox family. The modifications to the high tech carbon fiber rig were also designed and engineered by Andy Dovell. The yachts sailing team have reported a significant improvement in performance  while also having the added benefit reducing the  handicap rating.
